 Outdoor Ed - Our Young Scientists

   We are super lucky this year to have Ms. Katie, our Outdoor Education teacher, open her schedule to include the preschool. She is planning on teaching the two preschool classes separately, so each class will go every other week.This first lesson was a fun scavenger hunt in our school gardens. Each child had a Bingo card with pictures of things they could find in the garden. They were given a card and a marker and then set free to explore the garden and find things like tomatoes, squash, a purple flower, a garden hose and more. The students were engaged in the activity and enjoyed walking around the garden, spotting different things. We ended the lesson by cutting carrots and tasting them dipped in homemade Ranch dressing for the more adventurous.
