Gross Motor Quilting The preschoolers worked together to paint several large pieces of paper with pastel, spring colors and others with wintery shades of blue. Then we weaved them together to make a quilt.
I LOVE TO READ WEEK We had a fun week with special reading events throughout the week. Below are pictures from some of our guest readers. The Cat in the Hat and Thing One and Thing Two visited our school last week and acted out the book for all the students. Ms. Rose, the principal, read several books to our preschoolers. Ms. Waterman, the kindergarten teacher, read to our preschoolers.
VINS - Magnets Hannah visited our classroom right before vacation. The kids experimented with magnets, figuring out what materials were magnetic and what weren't. After playing with various materials, the hypothesized what new materials were likely to be magnetic and what wouldn't be. Then they experimented to see if they were correct. They also learned that some magnets are more powerful than others. Since Hannah's visit, we have had more magnets out for the kids to experiment with on their own. It's been lots of fun!
