Gross Motor When asked about their favorite part of the school day, many of our preschoolers enthusiastically name outdoor play as their top choice. Their joyful smiles, laughter, and boundless energy are a wonderful reflection of just how much they value and enjoy their time outdoors. Beyond the joy it brings, outdoor play is an important part of our preschoolers’ physical development. Running, climbing, jumping, balancing, and navigating playground equipment help children strengthen their gross motor skills, coordination, balance, and body awareness.
