VINS - Weather

VINS: Weather Lesson
Hannah visited our classroom again last week to talk about weather. The kids looked at pictures of different types of weather, graphed the pictures, described the weather in the pictures, and made comparisons: more, less, equal. Then Hannah focused on wind. She brought in a wind tunnel and let the kids have fun experimenting with putting scarves and feathers in the tunnel and catching them. The feathers were a lot harder to catch than the scarves. Then they decorated and made small cuts on paper cones and experimented with how the wind caught the cones differently depending on which way they put the cones into the wind tunnel (point down, point up, sideways). Like always, the kids had a great time learning more science with Hannah.
