Montshire Field Trip
Montshire Field Trip
We had a fantastic time at the Montshire last Friday. It looked like some of our parents had as much fun as the kids. Thank you to all those parents who were able to join us. Sadly, we had a number of students sick or unable to go. If you have a chance to take your child(ren) to the Montshire, it is a fun and educational place to visit.

The benefits of learning science in early childhood are numerous. Here are just a few:
- It Promotes Critical Thinking: Science involves asking questions and finding the answers yourself, which encourages your child’s natural curiosity and their ability to think critically about the world around them.
- It Aids the Development of Other Skills: Learning about science and performing science activities helps more than just your child’s education; doing experiments with other children helps develop team-working skills, and doing research helps your child develop analytical skills.
- It Fosters a Love of Learning: Children are naturally curious, and science helps them learn new, exciting things in a fun and hands-on way. Using fun experiments and activities to ask questions and find answers will set your child up with a lifelong love of learning.
- It Improves Literacy & Vocabulary: Preschool teaches the stepping stones of literacy that will aid your child in learning to read in kindergarten and beyond, and science helps improve these essential skills. Science lessons introduce lots of new words and concepts which will aid your child’s vocabulary, critical thinking, and prediction-making skills – all of which will help build their literacy.
