Sugaring
Sugaring Preschoolers have been learning all about how to make syrup and all the necessary things that go along with it. We have been reading books about sugaring, looking at pictures from Ms. Angelica's family sugaring operation, tapping our own tree and of course taste testing both sap and syrup. We were able to bring tapping indoors with a cardboard tree and a makeshift evaporator that the students were able to help build the "fire" up in. At the end of the unit, students wrote their own books about how to make maple syrup!
